I grew up in London where I started off my career in childcare, I studied childcare at Uxbridge college straight after leaving school. Being 1 of 11 siblings I come from a very large family I spent much of my childhood with my grandparents who taught me a great many values, which I have embedded into my personal life and the development of Dan Dans.
I have 20 years’ experience in the childcare industry, I have one beautiful son called Cameron and two dogs called Raggie and Brownie, who keep my life very active 🙂
I always knew I wanted to open my own nursery one day, so I worked extremely hard to achieve this.
Starting off as a nursery practitioner I developed my professional skills and became management, to which I learnt a lot of valuable knowledge and experience
I pride myself in being an honest caring person and always want to help others reach their full potential.
I have built up a varied range of skills and knowledge over the years which has helped guild me in the Ethos of what Dan Dans is today. I am passionate about giving children the best start in life and guiding them to be loving, caring, confident individuals before going off to school.
I am a creative person and love to create pyrography designs (wood burning) and running in my little spare time 🙂 I also like travelling around the world with my son to give him a greater concept of the word we live in x
My journey into the world of childcare began when I left school, and 14 years of experience later in a range of settings, a childhood studies degree, 3 children of my own and dog called Ted, I feel I have found a workplace to call ‘home’.
I have been an employee of Dan Dans since 2018, but have been lucky enough to watch with pride, the vision of Dan Dans grow from pen and paper to reality.
I have grown rapidly, both personally and professionally during this time. I am a driven person and passionate about supporting young children to reach their full potential, whilst I also have the pleasure of working with and providing support as Dan Dans nursery manager/SENDco to an amazing staff team, whilst supporting them to reach their full potential.
I am very family orientated and very much believe this is reflected in how I manage Dan Dans. I love watching children learn and grow and it is an honour to spend time with the children in our care.
I am very proud of what we achieve at Dan Dans and look forward to coming to work to see the children and working with our team.
I am a keen crafter and enjoy spending time outdoors with my children and dog.
