Personal Statement

I grew up in London where I started off my career in childcare, I studied childcare at Uxbridge college straight after leaving school.

Being 1 of 11 siblings I come from a very large family I spent much of my childhood with my grandparents who taught me many great values, which I have embedded into my personal life and the development of Dan Dans.

I have 21 years’ experience in the childcare industry, I have three beautiful children and two dogs called Raggie and Brownie, who keep my life very active.

I always knew I wanted to open my own nursery one day, so I worked extremely hard to achieve this.

Starting off as a nursery practitioner I developed my professional skills and became management, to which I learnt a lot of valuable knowledge and experience.

I pride myself in being an honest caring person and always want to help others reach their full potential.

I have built up a variety of skills and knowledge over the years which has helped guide me in the Ethos of what Dan Dans is today. I am passionate about giving children the best start in life and guiding them to be loving, caring, confident individuals before going off to school.

Personal Statement

I grew up in Canterbury where I started my childcare career at Canterbury college.

I have been in childcare for 10 years which I have experienced different ages from 3 months - 5 years.

I started off as a nursery practitioner, room leader and recently developed into a deputy manager role, which I am extremely proud of!

I am a caring and loving person who always wants to see the full potential whether that be my work or personal life.

I have worked at Dan Dans for 5 years and proud to be apart of the Dan Dans family.

I will continue to develop my life skills and better myself.

Personal Statement

I'm Leah, I grew up in Herne Bay only moving house for the first time when I moved into my own. I began my childcare career as soon as I left school in 2011, going to Canterbury college where I studied my Level 2 and Level 3 Childcare and Education (CACHE) diploma. I have worked in childcare since I left school, I started worked here at Dan Dans in January 2018 which I absolutely love.
I have 1 little girl of my own, as well as playing a big role in my partners little boy’s life since he was 3.
I absolutely love my job here at Dan Dans, seeing the children grow and helping and encouraging them to develop to their full potential as individuals. I hope for many more happy years working here.

Personal Statement

I started my career working with horses but when I moved to Kent I went to college to gain my level 3 childcare

In April 2021 I started working at Dan Dans and it’s the best thing I ever did as I love my job staff and children. I have recently become baby room leader and I am enjoying my new role and seeing the baby’s develop and grow.

I have 3 children myself who are 12, 15 and 18 years of age.

I look forward to many more years here at Dan Dans

Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Johanna, but you can call me Jo.
I started my early years journey in 2004 with my level 2 qualification. I enjoyed the start of my early years journey so much I continued to expand my knowledge and completed my level 3.
I started working here at Dan Dan’s in January 2024, which I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to spending many more years here help and support the children to grow and develop.

Personal Statement

I am originally from London where I knew from a young age I wanted to go into childcare. I am currently doing an apprenticeship at Dandans which I am really enjoying. I have recently finished sixth form where I studied drama and criminology which I loved. I have a younger brother where there is quite a big age gap therefore grew my passion for childcare more as I have been able to experience his first words, walks and watch him develop. I look forward to exploring my career here at Dandans and supporting the children and watching them grow.

Personal Statement

Since leaving school, I trained as a Nursery Nurse and have dedicated the past 30 years to working within the child care sector. Throughout my career, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of roles, including nursery nurse, speech therapy assistant, sing and sign teacher and SENDCO assistant. Alongside my professional journey, I have also raised two children and am now a proud grandparent to two grandchildren.

Driven by my passion for inclusion and lifelong learning, I studied for a degree in Special educational needs and inclusion studies, which deepened my understanding of how best to support all children and young people. My core belief is that every child and young person deserves the best possible education and care- where they are seen, their voices are heard, and they are fully included. I strongly believe that children are not defined by there needs but rather, each is an individual with unique strengths, potential and the right to thrive.

I am delighted to join the Dan Dans nursery team and look forward to contributing my experience and passion for early years education.
